This week, in between cram packing for a trip and doing last-minute errands, I'm super stoked to be doing back-to-back classes -- Cardio Barre tonight, and classical ballet tomorrow. It's rare for me to embark on two, out of home classes in one week, so I'm extra excited. I definitely feel an extra fitness push is a must before the holidays.
Here are just a handful of bennies of Cardio Barre:
While they don't torch a *ton* of calories, you can expect to burn between 300-400 per class.
CB is stellar for toning the legs, butt, abs, and arms -- it also helps with alignment and posture. All key plusses as we spend sooooo much of our day lifting our little ones, and picking up...endlessly.
Increased bone health -- weight-bearing exercises are absolutely critical for bone health. Using your own body for weight-bearing moves is the cornerstone of Cardio Barre. And all of those pointed repetitions are serious strength-builders.
Sooo...as we creep into yet another week of cookie munching, pie-making, and servings of stuffing, try to fit in a class (or two).
