Of course, the M&M's in the above picture give the mix a certain sweet kick, but I've found nuts to be incredibly satisfying on their own. I've been reading about the health benefits of these portable goodies, and there is absolutely no denying they pack a punch, nutrient-wise -- chock full of heart-healthy fats, protein, vitamins, and tons of minerals.
Topping the list of best for you nuts? Honestly, most nuts are pretty healthy, as long as they aren't drenched in oil and super salty. Your best bet is to nosh on the raw, unsalted variety.
And yes, while macadamia nuts don't quite reach the nutritional heights of, say, a walnut, eating a variety of nuts is great for your bod.
The best-for-you nibblers include the aforementioned walnuts, followed by peanuts (technically, a peanut is a legume, but it's usually commonly referred to as a nut), pecans, and almonds. In my nutty house, we also LOVE pistachios and cashews.
How do you get your crunch on? Let me know in the comments below!
Love and FIF,
