I don't blame them. Not one bit.
One thing we learned very quickly when we moved here last fall was to embrace the sun -- always! - because you never know when it will disappear for months, leaving you with a dark tundra of blustering sadness for more weeks than you can count.
To say my family is LOVING this weather is a gross, gross understatement. When we go to the park, I cannot stop gushing about the wind-less, cloud-free sky. I just can't get enough of it.
Today was no exception. My daughter and I hit up one of our favorite outside haunts, and while she playing in the sandbox/slid down the slide/collected leaves (that's her, above, practicing her balance), I clocked about 30 minutes of strength training and a bit of cardio. Here's what got my blood pumping:
10 minutes of sprints around the park's perimeter
10 minutes of lunges, squats, and standing ab exercises like these, courtesy of Jessica Smith TV
5 minutes of Sun Salutations, and Warrior One poses.
It was bliss. What I *love* about working out -- outside -- while my daughter plays, is that I can bang it out in the morning, and I don't have to use my precious, toddler nap time to fit it in.
I hope the sun is shining wherever you are!
Love and FIF,
P.S. How are you finding time to exercise, now that the winter chill is beginning to settle in? Comment below!
