About 75% of the time, when I crave chocolate, I give in. I'll nibble on a tiny, Halloween-size bag of M&M's, or some dark chocolate raisins (can't go wrong with these yummies from Raisinets). But when I'm feeling more virtuous, I steer myself away from the sugary stuff, and snack on any of these tasty yet satisfying treats:
Plain, unsweetened yogurt (I use this yogurt maker at least three times a month. LOVE) with a handful of chia seeds, a little low-sugar granola, and a sprinkling of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon.
A medley of dried fruit -- Granny Smith apples, pineapple slices, pears, and even grapes for homemade raisins. My food dehydrator and I are dear, dear friends.
Nuts! Seeds! and a little something extra -- almonds, peanuts, cashews, pecans, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds. I grab a few handfuls, and throw in a few mini chocolate chips, because running after a toddler/dealing with early mornings/running yourself ragged requires a little sweetness.
You deserve it.
Love and FIF,
